ACRSL Credit Ratings

Credit ratings are opinions about credit risk of an entity, such as a SME (small or medium enterprise), a large corporation or state or city government. This opinion is encapsulated in an assigned time-bound credit rating, which may take into consideration qualitative, quantitative and financial integrity factors that impact the ability and willingness of the entity rated to meet its financial obligations in full and on time. Credit ratings may also be assigned to securities or individual debt issue, such as a corporate or municipal bond, and the relative likelihood that the issue may default. Pioneered in the Bangladesh capital markets by Dr. Hasan Taher Imam, ACSRL also provides ratings to Mutual Funds that measure performance risk relative to the appropriate benchmarks. As part of its ratings analysis, ACRSL evaluates available current and historical information and assesses the potential impact of foreseeable future events.
